If I leave Sky....

If I kick my Sky+HD subscription in to touch (31 Days notification period) and go for a Freesat+ HD box like this one -

How long will I still be able to access my recordings on the Sky box? Logic dictates when it gets turned off by Sky, anyone know any different?

Also, has anyone got any experience with the above Humax box?

I think that is to the end of the period of notification of disconnection ( so the 31 days as you say ) Not sure but someone will correct me?

If you have a spare external HD then it might be cheaper to go for this:

Latest software update has added wireless support & an internet portal for iPlayer.

I have one & it's OK although the portal is a bit slow. They've promised a software update next month though.

Very likely the same as when a Virginmedia contract ends that facility will stop working usually just after midnight on the agreed date, so ensure that everything has been viewed before disconnection day.
