Sick of paying for a service that doesn't work!

On Demand unavailable most of the time....high demand...if it's that high a demand then increase the bloody capacity!

Totally agree. I do shift work and sometimes On Demand between 11:30pm through to 2:30am can be a real pain. There will be reasons for the service running slow, or not being available however if it happens on a regular basis then Virgin aren't delivering the service you expect. On Demand is only On Demand if the programmes can be watched......On Demand!

I've never had a problem with VOD but i dont use it that much

I would definitely complain and they should either fix it or compensate your bill

Yes if some services are not working phone them up as l have and sometimes they will compensate you for the inconvenience it has caused the customer.

What general area are you in? Are you trying to play HD VoD?

hmm. Edinburgh isn't a problem area for VoD in general. What problems are you having? Any particular error code?

Where i used to live i had loss of on demand and broadband at least 20 times in 2 years, because i worked long days it was days maybe weeks before an engineer could get out because virgin insisted someone was in during the "visit" even though on every occasion the problem was in the green box. A couple of the people they sent said they had moved my connection and that seemed to have fixed the problem (till the next time), then i got a bloke who really knew what he was doing and said there was 2 many connections in the box on splitters (this can effect your upstream) and the entire box needed sorting out, well it took a while and a couple more outages but he called one day and said him and his mate had spent most of the day sorting it out and it was fine after that... morale is don't get fobbed off.

The problem might be in the green box, but they still need access to your home to check and adjust the signal level after fixing the problem. That can't be done from the cabinet.

This is the problem I must have, I have constant problems with slow internet.

The TV service would freeze and on-demand virtually never worked and every time we called in they send a "tech" who would say....

EITHER- I cant find your cable at the cab I will need a 2 man team then never return..OR comment that power levels going from +4 then +11 then +8 then +3 then+5 etc etc is fine if it works..

There is another "tech" coming next week who will probably just add to the 6db-forward path ATT. on our modem then leave. But you never know....................

EDIT** Crap I quoted the wrong user, I meant to quote the VM-TECH who was sayng if your cable isn't tagged at the box.

Not sure if I get an error code, just the message that there is high demand in my area and please try later. However, it can be like this for several hours at a time, mostly during the evenings.

Seems to work most times during the day but as I am at work then that's not a great deal of use to me.

It's supposed to be an On Demand service, and it's not.
