Not just Halo 4 but the announcement of a new trilogy. So there will be a 5 & 6 coming after that.

They've already ruined the Halo franchise for me, with the likes Wars and ODST.
I doubt I'll ever buy another Halo game

Halo Wars wasnt done by Bungie was it? Can't blame them for that one. As with ODST, it was poor.. no questions asked... Reach was kind of a nice way to bring it back. Thankfully these 2 titles were nothing to do with Master Cheif so I dont like calling them a true Halo game.

Obviously now 343 will be making the next Halo trilogy, so I wouldnt give up on it just Yet :)

ODST should have been an add-on like the GTA IV ones were, 1600MSP download. Halo Wars was made by the people who made Age of Empires so they didn't exactly give it to novices, and I personally thought it was great. Reach I pretty much loathed, the Halo 3 engine is pretty much perfection for a FPS and the loadouts in Reach killed the game for me.

343 is mainly ex-Bungie staff who wanted to continue with Halo and other Microsoft Game Studios people so once again it hasn't been handed to novices. Can't wait for 4, providing they stick to the simplicity of 3 and don't try to 'CoD it up', hopefully dropping loadouts and credits.

I loved Reach. I found ODST disappointing, though. I enjoyed the sections where you played as characters voice by Firefly actors, but hated the "hub" sections as the Rookie.
