N Dongle Issues
 

Evening all,

I'm having issues with the VM N Dongle, having spent a few hours on the phone to tech support who can't figure it and having tweaked a few things myself, it's still not doing whhat it should.

In simple, I will be browsing the t'internet and the dongle will loose sync with the superhub. I have to unplug the dongle and reboot the router and after 15 minutes or so I get a connection..

So far -

I've changed to channel 10
802.11 mode: up to 300Mbps
802.11n band = 2.4ghz
Security mode = WPA2-PSK[AES]

If anyone could share any clues that would be most appreciated

I think the problem is the 802.11 mode. Mine is also set to 300Mbps and my laptop with a built in N wireless card loses sync and auto reconnects at specific intervals (haven't timed them but it could well be 15 mins).

Set your wireless mode to 145Mbps and try channels 7-9. Also use the tool below to see if there are any local networks interfering with yours:

Failing this, try a spare router if you have one to see if the adapter loses signal. It may well be a faulty adapter :(
