Nokia E72 fault

I have a Nokia E72 which in the past 7 days has developed all sorts of faults. I'm receiving little or no signal. The phone has started to freeze up and no longer connects to my e-mail inbox. When I do receive a call the person on the other end of the line can't hear me. Outbound text messages are not being received by others. The phone is in great condition, I make sure it's well looked after.

I called Virgin on 0845 600 789 to discuss this yesterday however their system was down meaning they couldn't run a diagnostic check. I've just called again just now, system down again. I've been asked to call back tomorrow afternoon.

Now I know it's not Virgins fault that the phone isn't working, however I'm pretty sure it's not mine either. I pay just over £35.00 per month for my tariff which is inclusive of insurance. I'm not happy that it's going to take me a 3rd phone call on a 3rd day to hopefully get this matter resolved. I don't believe I'm receiving the service I expect from my phone, or Virgin.

Is it actually worth complaining about this to Virgin or is this type of thing not really a big issue in their eyes? I'm just disappointed I've called twice now and I'm no further forward. In fact other than telling me systems are down, callback later nobody has asked about the fault etc...

You will need to call support tomorrow to get it resolved, if their systems are down I expect asking what the fault is would not help as they would unable to run any checks.

Do you have a spare phone you can put your sim into as it will only cost you 10p to call them as otherwise you will run up a bill on the 0845 number.

That's good to know. I tried the 789 number via the mobile but it just froze. I'm sure I've got an old Nokia kicking about. It's got the original version of Snake on it. In fact I'm sure the model I've got was heavily linked with accusations of causing brain cancer. Plenty to look forward too tomorrow:erm::D

Yeah did it not! Unfortunately my old mobile didn't work so I had to use my land line instead. I raised a complaint, was transferred etc... Anyway in the end I agreed to keep the phone as I'm due a swap / upgrade or whatever you call it in 2 weeks anyway. I was advised it probably wouldn't be in my best interest to claim through my insurance.

Got my land line bill today, my call to the 0845 number cost me £29.00!!! My monthly rental for the mobile phone, less the insurance, is less than £29.00. Now I know you did warn me about this but this is way over what I deem as acceptable. Virgin are charging me £29.00 for calling them from my Virgin land line to complain about my Virgin mobile phone that I couldn't call them from. I feel a rant coming on:mad:

What hacks me off more is last night I received a call from Virgin offering me a great deal and potential savings on 0845 numbers! For £2 per month I'll get some special rate. I can't remember all the ins and outs as I told the operator that I don't really call 0845 numbers. He certainly didn't highlight my £29.00 blooper from last month.
