Virgin V+ and surround system
Dunno if this is the right forum ?
I have a L46VN05U LCD 1080P tv Connected to this i have PC through VGA and sound through Audio In ( works fine with TV volume) PS3 connected though HDMi Virgin V+ HD box connected through HDMi I bought a 5.1 surround system, nothing fancy was just as Asda job. SO plugging it into TV through Line Out phono sockets.( as instructed) The surround speakers only work with PC, not with PS3 or V+ box. Is it right the surround speakers have to be plugged direct into V+ box to get the sound from it... Problem there is the V+ box does not have phono sockets... Is there anyway to get the surround speakers / subwoofer working with all 3 components i have plugged into TV? Thanks for any help. |
Re: Virgin V+ and surround system
What connectors does your 5.1 surround system have?
My V+ connects to my surround amp using digital optical lead. I know many amps now allow you to connect HDMI inputs to the amp from 2 or three sources with one HDMI out from the amp for the video that you'd connect to the TV. The alternative might be to get a scart with phono breakout lead and connect that to the V+ scart #2 socket (The archiving one). |
