No Broadband Beckenham (Bromley Area)
 

I lost Broadband about 1:00 pm today. It appeared briefly as a fault on the Service Status page with a fix estimated for around 4:00pm but then disappeared from the Service Status page. As I have experienced problems before with items not appearing on the Service Status page and me then spending a lot of time trying to track a non-existent problem at my end, can I ask if I am the only one in the Bromley area still without broadband? Luckily a neighbour has a Sky connection he is letting piggyback on for this post!

Incidentally, anyone one got any idea when there will be a fix for F001588834 in the Bromley area? Since 27th April the “Estimated Repair Time� always appears to be 9:00am tomorrow – currently May 13 2011, 09:00.

Posting on this forum as one normally gets a quicker response than from Virgin’s own forum.

too right, i waited 3 weeks and 2 days for a response not so long back, mind you that seems quick compared to talking to offshore

I cant really see how anyone can help you here, you have looked yourself and it says the service will be back tomorrow, if its not back by then, you should post something here, but your not going to get any response apart from wait until tomorrow :( sorry

My fault but the two issues are unrelated.

1 My Internet went down at about 1:00 pm and although the Broadband fault disappeared from the Service Status page, I still had a fault (Everything now back up and working).
2. F001588834 has been on the Service Status page (Under TV) since 27th April with the estimated fix changing each day to 9:00 am the next morning.

Sorry for the confusion, must take longer when writing a post.

I've just moved from Shortlands to Elmers End and since the move my broadband and TV has been very intermittent, I don't know if there's been general faults in the area but it's not been too good since the 28th

Don't know but I suspect that your problems may relate to F001588834 with the ever moving Fix date. I suspect also, with nothing to support my suspicions, that it make also relate to some of the unresponsiveness on my TiVo.

I too am in Elmers End (Glanfield Road) and apart from a couple of outages over the last year, I haven't really had a problem. However from what I've read, and been told by Virgin fitters, the problem is that the Bromley area is almost fully subscribed, if not oversubscribed, and the on-going installation of TiVo boxes to people like myself only makes the problem worse.
