Can you help out my family?
My family had to have a tech called out because they were having problems, their modem+DIR615 got replaced with a superhub, but they are all on wireless and are having extremely bad connection issues. Only my brother who has a wireless-N adapter is able to get a decent signal, even then it cuts out. The other computers are poor/no signal at all.
They used to get signal at their gym (the back of a large garden) now they can't get a stable signal even in their house. Is this a known superhub issue and is there a fix? I have a spare DIR 615 laying around, would i be able to connect that via ethernet to their superhub and have everyone connect to the DIR 615? Or does this require 'bridge' mode which is not yet available? |
Re: Can you help out my family?
the wireless on the superhub is pants, you could try this:

Re: Can you help out my family?
yes you can.
1 - disable wireless on the superhub 2 - connect dir615 to superhub 3 - disable dhcp on dir615 then connect to dir615 wireless and all should work. if it doesnt you may need to shift the subnet so the dir615 is on the same subnet but if its only used as an access point I think isnt needed. the guide craig posted will work also but that moves all the routing onto the dir615 as well rather than just been the access point. |
Re: Can you help out my family?
I continued to use my old router with the superhub and just turned off the superhubs wireless. I have had no issues at all.
