help with connection
Since having the superhub ive had a few problems with it diconnecting from the internet but stays local. I've recently had a new superhub and a technican out and one due tomorrow as internet has spent more time off than on today power lvls went from +7 SNR 39 upload 47.1 too -9 SNR 36.4 upload 58.2
ive rang tech support for them to tell me a tech will be out tomorrow. The last tech (no more than 20yr old) that came round took supresses off one that was 12db which was infront of the splitter and one off the box and said this was the problem ok so he went and everything was fine for about an hour then everything went back to the way it was. I feel im being fobbed off and want to make sure the tech tomorrow does a good job any suggestions on what the problem could be so i can make sure it gets sorted, service been like this for 2-3months. thanks |
Re: help with connection
modem dropping connection would cause that problem, might need the signal levels checked. Engineer is best port of call as a connection problem should be diagnosed and sorted pretty quickly.

Re: help with connection
the time probably hasnt been changed on the CMTS when the clocks changed, this wont affect your connection
|
Re: help with connection
Could be another dodgy hub, only the engineer will be able to tell when he calls. The time is GMT so is correct as we are in BST now.

Re: help with connection
the bloke on the phone said the signal that is being sent isnt being recieved by the modem but why i can normal fix problems but this is going over my head and im gettinf frustrated cause i dont know why its happening lol
ive also noticed that every time i turn my xbox on and it connects to live it goes down within 10minutes so no xbox for me tonight gutted and before it went down was playing a game on Pc then it went down. so many people are having same sort of problems but with no anwsers grrrrrr |
Re: help with connection
from the stats you have posted, the modem hasnt locked onto a signal, so it could be a number of problems. you should wait for your engineer visit, he will be able to shed some more light on the situation

Re: help with connection
well it went off again and its just come back on and the signals have gone back to normal (suprise suprise) but how long for is a different story will post tomorrow after tech has been
