Installation Query regarding external cabling

Quick question which I'm sure will be answered thoroughly by someone knowledgable from here.

I am due a new installation, VM have recently put cable into the road where I am moving to but there is no access from the road to the house. From the cable point in the road there is a small verge then 25ft of block paved driveway to get to the house (very long route round drive and still got to get through an element of block paviors) or there is a BT chamber in the verge which has a route through to the outside of the house. Don't fancy my chances of getting a smooth installation of the drive is dug up and supposedly 'put back as we found it'.

Question is can VM utilise BT chambers and cable routes?

Would make life a heck of a lot easier, cleaner and hassle free if they can. :D

PS: Just noticed this is posted in the wrong place can someone move it to the installation queries section?:erm:

They wont dig up your driveway, they will find another way, walk away and say you cant get service or they will ask you to make arrangments. They used to get a saw and cut a line along the ground and put the cable in then concrete it up after, not sure if they still do that

No this wont happen if the work is in the public footway. All cable from slotboxes will be in 25mm PVC duct (SID architecture), all cable from cabinets will be in 54mm or 96mm duct connected by a swept tee feeding the property. All duct has to be to regulation depth.

Cable on a customers property is a different matter though but should still be in a PVC flexible duct.
