Co-op gaming

Hi guys,

My mate and I would like to play games together on co-op mode(?) However, we both hate split screen. Is there a simple way that we can connect our 2 PS3's and play through the story like that on separate tv's in the same house?

on modern warfare 2, you can do spec ops online, and possible LAN, but im not sure on that
