hi,wanting to get the wife a blackberry 8250 payg for her birthday,but having to get mail order,is it still the case that a t mobile locked phone will work with virgin and anybody got a rough idea how much it is to unlock a blackberry.

Why not just get the phone on Virgin?

I think its free on Virgins £10 a month package.

its actually free on the £12.26 tariff (the £10.00 tariff is actually £10.21 now due to the vat increase in january)

the phone will cost £159.99 if you want it on virgin pay as you go

the other 2 answers didnt really answer your question, but I dont know if a phone locked to t-mobile will work with Virgin Mobile. If you needed to get it unlocked, somewhere like the phonebooth could probably do it for about £20

So buy the phone for £159.99 then £15 a month on topups =£340 ish over 12 months.

Pay VM £12 a month get the phone free plus texts and minutes included £147 over 12 months.

An no it wont work on T mobile.

I have a Virgin Mobile HTC Desire and it works on T Mobile, its the same network as Virgin so I would think there should be no problem with Blackberry

thanks for the replies,can`t afford to buy outright so will get from catalogue and see if t mobile phone will work or unlock if needed.
