Ahaha 12 months to develop a new website and incapable of sustaining the old one. Maybe offshoring and firing engineering staff wasn't such a hot idea.

Would agree the halifax always done crazy decisions however if it is sincere on its been compromised then best thing. They would likely get sued or lots of damage claims.

The other is how good is there server security maybe they should invest more into that. They could have there existing web up and running in days.

However if its web design fault then its sloppy coding. Believe you there is loads vunerable sloppy websites who dont know how to protect HTML/Java code.

So would assume its not server based compromise for them to take this action.

They are forever changing the security protocols on their website..It's become tedious.

The "new" website is not as good as the old one IMO.
