Goto be the most disgraceful waste of money ever.

Its shocking that jobs are cut while give snobs jobs for 6 months to slash and burn.

Guess what this NOT a labour run council but a conservative council.

Shows that there all waste money none of them are any good whatsoever our Liberal council has plans to give someone £72,000 to find cuts.

Yet we can easily tell them 2 positions the boss and his assistent who oted to cut salery measily £3,000 but both take nearly £500,000 out off the council in wages.

Do council bosses deserve such wages nope. Talk about milking the gravy train before the door bolted shut.

In my opinion a consultant that reports back to council 'bigwigs' is a waste of time. They will ignore any recommendation that threatens their status quo.

That's how the people that really do the work get cut back while so many office chairs continue to be polished.

It's a strange one, but a common one. The council can justify paying these obscene wages based on the money saved. For instance, cost £800/day but saved £2000/day. However, I'd bet that nearly any one of us at CF could look at our local council's expediture, and recommend changes that would save an absolute fortune. They do waste money left right and well, you know.
I'm no authority on the councils recruitment process, but my hunch is that maybe they need to advertise a bit more for these positions?
I wish they'd give me a blast with the 'ole hatchet, I'll only charge £599/day. ;)

Where I used to work they bought a HR guy in to close both the site I worked at and one in windsor, he got at least £100,000+.

Notts County Council are doing the same, they are spending £250,000 employing managers to oversee the job losses.:confused:
