Upgrading service

Hi I have been with VM for a few years and now am thinking of upgrading my service, when i called the upgrade line they are offering me 30mb internet, xl tv and phone for £58.80 pm, this is less that the £66 that i am paying per month, when i asked if this figure includes a new box to allow me to access the HD channels, they have told me no, however when i checked on the upgrade on the internet it includes the VH HD box, when i questioned them on this they stated that this was for new customers only and i only get the stb box, when i stated this appeared when i have clicked on the existing customers deal they have stated this wasnt right?

Who is right ?

also if i want to upgrade to the VM HD or VM HD+ what are the costs, as when i asked the indian gentleman stated it would be £89.99, i am sure that i have seen them for £49.00

Thanks

Baz

Re: Upgrading service

The price you have been quoted is the new monthly charge for the new services you want.

To swap your existing box for an HD enabled box will cost a one-off activation charge of £49.95 for either a V HD or V+ HD box and also an installation charge of £40 if you get an engineer to do the swap or £20 if you do the swap yourself. The £20 charge covers the postage and package of the new box to you and return postage and package for the old box.

As the one-off activation charge is the same for both HD boxes, you would be better taking the PVR version, the V+ HD.
