Safecom SAMR 4110 - Firmware Problem
 

Hi, new to this site hope that someone will be able to assist me. I have a Safecom SAMR 4110 ADSL Modem Router which I have had for a number of years. I have never update the firmware and for what i have read on various sites my firmware appears to be well out of date. I am unable to find safecoms web site in order to download the latest relevant firmware for my router. Should I update the firmware as I do not appear to be having any problems with it?
Any help suggestions would be appreciated.

Which version firmware do you have??

As for the sitecom site it used to be at sitecom.cn but looks like the company doesn;t exist anymore (or has merged)

Anyway there are various firmwares floating about if you google it but also there is the line of thought that if it's not broke then why fix??

Hi, thanks for the prompt reply - currently using Firmware Version: CX82xxx_4.1.0.21 .

I have heard that if its not broke don't fix it too

I don't think there's much later firmware, but you might want to download it anyway just in case it get corrupted in the future (though you are probably better upgrading to a ADSL2 modem/router)
