Superhub help please!
I recently upgraded my broadband package and Virgin sent me a superhub.
It has been working fine for a couple of weeks and it's been brilliant but on monday it decided it not to play ball. The superhub has only been on for a few hours since monday evening and i have an engineer booked but i am unable to acess the internet at all so im using a payg stick. The Indian call centre could not help me i have rebooted it and changed the channel but this has done nothing. The lights on the hub are always flashing green and they do not stay solid? I have disabled the firewall and ip flood and post scan detection ( i have no idea what this means i just saw others had done this to resolve issues). It came on last night for 30 minutes the top light was blue but the other lights were still flashing green. Is there anything else i could be doing that might make it work? |

Re: Superhub help please!!!
The top light is an indication that your superhub is operating in 5Ghz mode and therefore only devices that operate on that frequency will connect wirelessly to the superhub. The default setting is 2.4Ghz. When you choose this setting the top light on the superhub will change to green. Try changing this setting on the superhub and try connecting wirelessly.

Re: Superhub help please!!!
I have just had a look and the wireless band settings are set at 2.4GHz, Is this ok?
I forgot to mention that i have the superhub connected to my pc via ethernet cable as it's right next to it. Sorry im not very technical, i just need the internet back! Thanks. |

i thought the top light blue means you were on docsis3 or whatever, the bottom light blue was the 5Ghz mode:confused: |
Re: Superhub help please!!!
Hi jb66,
Is this what you were after? In advanced settings, wireless settings 802.11 mode is up to 145Mbps 802.11N band 2.4Ghz |

(as I have a blue top light on my Superhub, and the setting is 2.4Ghz). |
Re: Superhub help please!!!
i think the issue here is your connection is not docsis 3 ,as your light is green so no internet, also the fact that it is flashing is a concern, that used to mean no connection on the old modems.
