Northampton upload speed upgrade?
 

sorry for duplication, have searched but cant find a specific answer, please excuse relative newcomer but longer time reader of the forum. could i ask for some help please.

I am in Northampton area 31 on NRTE (Norhtampton East) former NTL, and on VIP 20. download speed is fine at 19.5 mbps or thereabouts. upload 3-700. virgin upgrade showing nrte complete and therefore should be up to 2mbps I think.

I have spoken to CS three times in last two weeks, one said work on nrte not completed but couldnt explain why virgin website said it was, second said it was complete for new customers only and third said nrte was complete but area 31 wasnt. I am tryig to find out what the true position is. I have told the second and the third that their advice is inconsistent with previous but both insist they are right and one said they could prove it to me - in a very aggressive way!

I can live with it of course, but if northampton has been completed, I would like to take advantage of it - anyone shed any light?

I received an e-mail on 24th Jan 2011, informing me that the upgrade had taken place in my area(NN1).

Is this the problem?

Nope - just tried that. see below but thanks for answer

bbmax reports download at 19751 and upload at 370kbps after 10 secod disconnect of modem - ambit 255.

What does the config page on the modem say you are provisioned for?

Anyone else from nrte - 31? Iknow I havent been upgraded yet - the real question is should I have been. the virgin pdf says nrte completed!

Just arrived home to find cable modem rebooting - now upgraded 1.85mbps upload.
