Picture breakup got worse through the day

Had Comedy Central HD on for a few hours in the afternoon and every so often line and square would appear across the picture knocking the sound off.

Now while trying to watch a repeat of 10 O'Clock Live on C4HD is impossible due to the fact the screen either goes black or just becomes pixelated. Pausing and resuming it eliminated the black screen and replaced by starting to jump backwards/forwards a few seconds at the same intervals instead.

I've been having a similar issue recently. The black line across the screen plus bad pixelation would actually carry from channel to channel for me. So if I was watching BBC HD and this started to happen, when I changed channel it'd be happening there too. Has your box begun rebooting at inconvenient times, especially when recording and watching HD channels at the same time? If so you may have the same problem I've just had fixed:

The last time I had issues the same as this, it turned out to be the power levels to my V+ box were too low, an engineer visit was the only way to resolve this.

If you have an attenuator fitted to the back of your V+, you could try removing it to see if it helps, either that or ring up and report it as a fault.

The TV tech support peeps seemed really on the ball with me and soon had the engineer booked.

I had a similar problem a few weeks back with bad pixelation across all channels, I rang CS and we went through the usual stuff of re-booting my V+ and to my amazement the lady on the phone managed to sort out the problem.
She told me the power levels on my stb were low and that she had adjusted them, I too thought this could only be done by an engineer at the green box but obviously not, she sorted out an unwatchable tv signal back to excellent HD in about ten minuets...great service indeed.:tu:
