Retentions called me
I have been with VM for a year now.
I had TV XL, XL Phone and L Broadband. I have decided to switch to Sky for my TV because I wanted more HD content. I was going to switch my Broadband and calls to Sky too so I could make use of Anytime + but VM rang me today and said if I keep my L Broadband and XL Phone and line rental with them then they would let me have all 3 for £16 per month. Is this a good deal? Any thoughts would be much appreciated. |
Re: Retentions called me
Yes it is a very good deal I think

Re: Retentions called me
£50.99 normally?
|
Re: Retentions called me
That doesnt sound close to being correct Pabs... unless the cost is without line rental but thats unusual for retentions to talk apckage prices without phone line costs??

Re: Retentions called me
Or impressed with the discount they are offering perhaps ;)
Half price line rental, an additional £5.50 goodwill, and £18.00 bundle discount. The sweet taste of Virgin Media desperation - I'd rip their arm off for that pabs. |

Re: Retentions called me
VM will soon be paying people to not leave.
|
Re: Retentions called me
Why not? They pay new customers £150 to join, and Sky would gladly offer a smaller but sizeable amount to new customers.

Re: Retentions called me
last I checked sky is a far technically inferior service. (assuming not under heavy congestion conditions on VM).
this isnt quite the same as new customer offers, a new customer I assume (I dont know the %) would have at least a moderate chance of eventually paying full whack for their service so that money is made back. Someone ringing retentions for discounts tho will probably be doing it for life as long as they a customer. So is bad business sense if its a loss leader. I will probably be doing it myself now soon, VM have put themselves in a position where they going to get people asking for it regardless of going to leave. |

They credited me £780 onto my bill in one year to "encourage" me not to leave. As in, two year's free line rental to not leave for one year. :p: |
