Super Hub Optimal Settings - Hints & Tips

My 50Mb speed is all over the place and the green progress bar on the status bar at the bottom of the page is all jittery and juddery when loading in pages. In a nutshell i'm not impressed with 50Mb but have always had a secure connection on all other tiers i've been on in the past. I've had 50Mb about 2 weeks now and it's still getting no better.

Is there any hints or tips for the optimum settings on the Super Hub to get the best speed out of it. I've had a look in there and it's a minefield of information compared to the old modem.

disabling the firewall and ip flood detection seems to help out most peeps

Thanks. Is that Advanced Settings - Content Filtering - Services - then untick Firewall Features and IP Flood Detection? I take it it's safe to disable them then?

Yes perfectly safe.

Try speedtest.net and see what your speed is.

Optimal setting? Assuming you got one of the dodgy ones, left in it's box and never used. :D

Looks like you received one of the numerous defective Super Hubs. Consider sending it back immediatly.

What is this, where is it in the settings and should everyone change this setting?
