Moving Sky+ box to another room
We are planning to move our TV and Sky+ HD box from its current position to another room in the house. The new position is right next to where the Sky cable enters the house from outside. As such, I will not have to run any extra cable in order to connect the box in its new position but will have to "cut" the current cable (which is very long) and have it terminate in the new position. I wanted some advice on the best/easiest way to do this. I was quoted £120 by an engineer which seems very expensive for what seems to be relatively simple task.

Re: Moving Sky+ box to another room
Firstly make sure you dont cut it too short (Done it before :D)
Use cable clippers/Wire clippers to chop it off Then your going to need trim it so the cable inside the cover is showing a few CM's ^ All that can be understood by simply looking at the end of the cables in the current state. Attach the little ends on that hold it to the screw in point on the box and your done. (This is for both cables as you have stated SKY+) |

Many thanks for your answer - I was hoping it would be as simple as this!
