100Mb now available in my area :)
 

Hey all,

I had notice website member site via myvirginmedia and click upgrade and saw broadband upgrade is now showing as 100Meg is available now at £45 a month. It say I can upgrade either XXL 50 Meg at £35 or 100 Meg at £45.

It suppose to be 100Meg ready in Telford area by March 2011 but look like they already done it early.

I better ring up virgin media to have 100Meg now :)

Why would you want 100meg when you downgraded your 50meg because 30 is fast enough?

Upgrade, then downgrade to 20Mb, then re-upgrade to 30Mb.

WTF £70 !!!!! Why should I pay another £30 activation fee and £40 installation charge. I just phoned up virgin media and they say I must pay £70 as they cannot activation in quick start. Need a tech guy come out. Anyway I had paid by my card £70 today and tech guy come out on Monday, 21st Feb at between 8am and 1pm.

Can't wait! :)

No, honest, my order had been submit today by virgin media as they say the tech guy must come out to activation 100Meg and will check my superhub on monday for 100Meg speed.

I can see ebilling charged me £70 now for next month billing.

I will have 100 Meg for at least 3 months for fastest downloading before I can go back to 30 Meg. I can afford to pay £45 for 100 Meg for 3 months.

I can't wait to see transfer rate of 10Meg a second and upload of 20 Meg!!!!!! :)

Masque why is virgin media won't activated 100Meg now because I explain to to customer service I already had a superhub and surely no need a tech guy come out ???? They say it need a tech guy to come out because of something to do with power level adjustment!

No idea try calling in the morning to verify it.

I find it strange that they could accommodate you on Monday 21st February as I would expected it to be Monday 21st March are you sure that you have the correct date.

I ring back and check again as they did say it will March 21st. So, I say why not 21st February ? They say my area is ready for 100 Meg but I need a tech guy come out as they cannot do a quick activation in a quick go. They told me the tech guy will come out 21st March !

I had try different staff, they say my order is completed and will be installation dates on 21st March not 21st Feb. :( :( :( Why it a hell a month to wait!
