The shape of prices to come?

The Bank of England has released its latest Quarterly Inflation Report

http://www.bankofengland.co.uk/publi...rt/ir11feb.pdf

Looks like more inflation and less growth is on the way. It appears that the UK growth is coming through at the lower end of estimates.

But we will have 2% inflation in two years time - result!

But first we'll have bread at £4 a loaf, petrol and diesel at £7 a gallon. These Tories are good at inflation aren't they?

I can see a big return of poverty in this country. the cost of living is going up constantly at a fast rate.
petrol - car insurance - food - gas - electric - more

that and constant cutbacks will see poverty return and a massive rise in crime increase.

the government are taking jobs from people and then moaning at them for not having a job and claiming benefits.

just wait and see. this country is going to be a right mess soon. and I'm going to stand back and watch :)

The country's been in a mess for quite some time, it's just that people were too busy spending money they didn't have to notice..

Yep. In fact almost as good as labour were at realising money out needs to resemble money in or else you end in the poop.

Yes, just like Brown and Darling before them, Milliband and Balls still don't seem to appreciate that. Spend now pay later.......

Spending money you haven't got and then pumping more borrowed money in by quantative easing was always going to produce inflation and that's before commodity prices went through the roof.

Only the action by the coallition has prevented the bank of England from having to raise interest rates and pile on the agony.

Not sure how that works. It takes the best part of a year for government policies to work into the economy, so we need to thank Labour for the current inflationary woes, yet the coalition actions miraculously prevent the BoE raising interest rates at short notice? Cake, eat it, and have?
