Re: sound
How do i find manufacturer of this device is it sound card installed on computer?

Re: sound
It's probably built in to the motherboard. Try going to the website of the computer manufacturer.

Re: sound
Could also be part of a modem driver or audio on GFX card. Had this a few times on laptops, install all drivers and there's an audio driver missing, sometimes it's the HDMI driver on the onboard Intel GFX chip or part of a modem driver.

Re: sound
ftp://ftp.download.packardbell.com/DESKTOP/
All the imedia XP drivers are in there you may need to run everest to find out the chipset for the audio |
Re: sound
It's not Everest now, it's AIDA64 :)

Re: sound
Have been to p/b download site and downloaded some drivers, question if I download wrong drivers ie. chipset driver will it be installed if it is the wrong driver for chipset? I have spoken to P/B they say I require legacy drivers I have downloaded realtec hda audio.exe although it clears the error ? in device manager sound still not working, also in sounds and audio device manager the drop down lists show no device installed. any ideas how to fix this.
