Dos attack scans

Just wondering I've been getting a lot of these lately

DoS Attack: ACK Scan] from source: 87.248.212.51, port 80, Sunday, February 13,2011 18:29:16

I can have around 20/30+ of these a day hitting the router, is this normal?

What are you using to detect them?

They are in the router logs, the one supplied by VM the wnr2000 (50mb BB)
