April's Price increases

I'm thrilled to have just received the email informing me that prices are increasing (for me) by around 5.5% in April.

An extra Â£1 for phone line
An extra 50p for the calling package
An extra Â£1 for TV

This just days after recontracting for another year.

It really starts to take the p**s when you recontract at a price point to have the goalposts moved.

Why aren't people's contractual rates guaranteed for a period?

I notice the phone line is always favoured for a bump.
