Employment Tribunals

Here's some good news I missed - the Government is looking to charge a fee for bringing a tribunal case - which should leave just the good cases

No figure has been put forward but the TUC says it is worried it could end up as high as £500.
so if you have a good case against an employer for unfair dismissal.
and you not got the £500 what do you do .
put your tail between your legs and walk away.

I think if you win the employer is meant to end up paying the fee

I guess you could always get a no-win/no-fee company to stump it up

me an 90 ex-workmates are taking a previous employer to court, and its going to cost us SFA, if we had to pay we wouldn't have taken it further.

What this will mean is that companies will get away with getting rid of people easier.

I have never seen a no-win-no-fee firm enter into an employment tribunal case.

very too pro business policy, even the old policy was too weak for workers, effectively a short term worker could be dumped out the door too easily, now they will need 2 years. I dont see why someone who has worked for 2 years should have more rights than someone who has worked 1 day.
