TV connected to PC and no Sound

I am using my HD TV for my playstation and computer mointor, I plugged my external speakers in to my computer and I got no sound at all, should I have changed some settings on my TV or PC?

What is the source of the TV picture, the playstation? If so you need a sound input to the computer from the playstation. The TV generally doesn't have sound outputs except perhaps for a headphone socket.

BBK you using Win7 arent you??? check your sound settings in there mate make the default your speakers and bobs your uncle.

O right, the sound for the Playstation works fine as that's on HDMI, Its the PC which is connected via VGA and I only want the PC to work with the new speakers not the PS3.
