Andy Gray sacked by Sky

Quote:

Sky Sports said it had sacked Gray "in response to new evidence of unacceptable and offensive behaviour".
Sky's statement continued: "The new evidence, relating to an off-air incident that took place in December, 2010, came to light after Andy Gray had already been subjected to disciplinary action for his comments of 22 January, 2011."

I was flicking through The Sun earlier at work and there was an article on Loose Women, now I don't ever remember watching it but if that report and this one from The Guardian are true why is nothing done about that or isn't sexism a two way street?

If this stupidity carries on we may as well start lobotomising the newborn, or why not sterilise everyone and have done with it? The world would be a better place without us.

Is there really more to life than this silly immature pettiness. It's all so pointless.

PC gone made :(
They had a discussion on London LBC the other day, the discussion was entitled "Have you got an Andy Gray in your office?" The idea was to hear about sexism in the office.

One caller phoned up and said, "Well, if you mean do I have a professional footballer, Legend, millionaire, and seasoned charity worker, then no I don't have one of those in my office."

How would CF'ers feel if he had made those comments ("Can you tuck this down here for me?") to your sister/wife/daughter?

Would it still be "banter" then?

My sister/wife/daughter would have said a funny put down, for example, told him to stick it up his ass!

And I would have laughed when told about it - and nothing more would have become of it because it's all OTT.

More importantly, I haven't seen a newspaper this week, have the sun asked Peta, 23 from Essex, her opinion on this yet?
I always enjoy getting a take on world events from the girl with her boobs out.

Yes.

Unlike Sky, my Wife and Daughters actually have a sense of humour.

Slightly more difficult if they the man has some sort of seniority though. Anyway, as mentioned, if you were to do that at a lot of companies you would probably find yourself in trouble. You can't go around making sexual remarks/gestures directed towards co-workers.

So how does the human race couple up and re-produce then? Lets face it, we are all sexual animals.

Or is this why the massive growth in the online dating sites...because no one is allowed to talk to each other anymore?

You know full well I said towards co-workers, in the workplace.

A couple of co-workers cynically suspect Sky Sport wanted rid of him & this was the perfect excuse.
