cost of extra V+

Hi i was wondering if someone could explain why the cost of extra V+ boxes goes up the more boxes you have, i only ask because i phoned virgin up to enquire about getting another box and was told this one would cost £100.

I'd imagine that it's because multiple boxes don't greatly increase the revenue. For XL customer there's no revenue at all after the initial fee.

You get the first V+ at a subsidised rate - £50 less than subsequent boxes.
