Re: Wireless P.C.
You need to determine if:
1. Your router has wireless capabilities. If not, you need to buy a new one. 2. Your pc has a wireless card in it. If not, you need to buy a wireless card for the pc. If yes to both, you're in business. |
Re: Wireless P.C.
If the router is still the WRG614 then that is wireless-capable.
All you need is to add a wireless widget to the PC. The simplest way to do this, assuming it's not already got a wireless card fitted, is to add a USB dongle such as this: http://www.netgear.co.uk/wireless_ne...ptor_wg111.php |

Re: Wireless P.C.
I'd suggest getting the dongle first. You can get it from Amazon here, or pick one up from the likes of Argos, Maplin, Currys or Dixon.
Once you have the dongle, post back here, and I'm sure there will be someone to help you out in setting it up. |

Re: Wireless P.C.
You'll need to switch on the wireless in the router while you still have a wired connection. Once that is done you'll be able to install the USB dongle and it should find your wireless.
But Danielf's right, you really need to have all the kit ready before we start getting into details. |
Re: Wireless P.C.
