Help with recordings cut short please

For the past week i have been recording things over Christmas and been trying to watch them over the last 2 days but when i watch them it gets to about 17 or 18 mins then cuts off and i get a message box asking if i want to watch again or go to Live tv but in the planner it tells me that they have recorded the whole prog:mad:

But i can only watch 17 or 18 mins so why is this happening? it only seems to of happened in the last week.

Also things that i have watched and deleted keep coming back onto my list and looks like they are recording but they are not cause they are not on and i have deleted them but they keep coming back.

is this a know problem that Virgin are having at the moment or is it my box?

Hi This is a known problem with the Virgin S/A box There engineers are working on it but may take a wile, you coul try rebooting the box, better still format the box if you know how.
failing that ring Faults on 151 and an engineer will replace the box.

Just ring so we can confirm what the problem actually is with the box.

Over Christmas, like a lot of people, you will be recording a good deal of content, including a lot of HD. It is possible that you are filling up the memory and the recordings are being cut short, because there is no more room on the disc. Do not always trust the remaining time bar, at the top of the screen, to give you accurate information.

a reformat may help, but you need to contact Support on 151.

Sounds like you have been escalated to 2nd line India. they will call you back, but the SLA is 3 days

It stands for "Service Level Agreement" which is the time limit agreed upon between the provider and OFCOM.

Wouldn't it have been a courtesy to inform the subscriber of this?

Yes, it would have.

Unfortunatley I don't control what an individual 1st line agent say's, but all agents will be aware of SLA's.

If you have read any of fault threads on here then you already know the answer to that question regarding a promised callback from an offshore agent.

I had one once  ....Surprised or what? I nearly fell off me chair.

I wish I had recorded it. Bound to be worth something someday if only for rarity value as the content was worthless. ;)
