I was tempted but when I looked into it adding windows 7 would actually cost 3p and that was a deal breaker for me.

Would a machine with only 1GB of RAM really be capable of running Windows 7 and allowing you do do anything more than send an email?

well Windows 7 does not cache memory like Vista. If you keep the running processes down turn off aero and the sidebar and use as an office machine and internet browser it will run fine.An extra 1 gig strip will still keep the price under 200 quid
