Network Change

Have Virgin started the switching between networks?
I know virgin use the Tmobile network, on my phone it does normaly say Virgin. But I just using it and it said Orange and I was wondering it they were doing that switching that Orange and Tmobile users get.

Orange and T-mobile are now 1 company. If you're on either you can roam to the others network. I guess it must be thesame for VM customers aswell.

There new name is EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE all though they will keep there individual branding for normal customers. I think it will just be a known as The everything Everywhere network corporately.

As Virgin Mobile is as mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) so we can have no real idea of what the future holds regarding network coverage.

Orange & T-Mobile are starting a program of physical integration & rationalisation early 2011 so I'd be surprised if as you say Virgin really have no idea as to what the future holds. We will be adversely effected if nothing happens so where do we stand if a local T-Mobile mast were to be decommissioned in favour of an Orange installation resulting in loss of service?

Given the new companies coverage Virgin now find themselves on the UK's worst performing network which can only deteriorate once base stations start to get switched off. Are Virgin planning to make a statement to their 3 million or so customers?

No idea as I do not work for the Mobile side and I am not aware of any member on here that actually does and that kind of thing would fall under confidentiallity agreements with the employer.;)

.....only to be told there are no plans to or that Virgin are in discussions EE, some customers have been told it will be in place soon. They don't seem to have an official line.
