Deleted programs on V+ box

I have recently experienced the loss of around ten recorded programs from out V+ box. We have not deleted them, they just weren't there anymore. The auto delete is set to off and when they dissapeared we still had aroudn 20 hours of recording time left. I have rebooted the box and that didn't seem to help either. Any ideas of what has happened?

The machine has continued to record all the programs that it regularly records. I don't know if it has anythin to do with it but the programs it deleted were from two sets of a particular series.
Cheers,

have you checked the settings as i think there is an option to delete after a period of your choosing eg 30 days

I haven't. I'll have a look but expect that not to be the case as there are older recordings still on there.
