Didn't say otherwise.. was just pointing out that it may be a feed problem north of the border ;)

The Virgin Media office in Edinburgh was checked though and they seem to be receiving the channel fine, so does that put paid to it being a feed problem north of the border, or could it still be a localised fault?

Have you tried the fix it assistant for the missing channels as that will send a update to the box?
HOME > HELP AND INFO > VIRGIN TV > GOT A PROBLEM > FIX IT ASSISTANT > MISSING CHANNELS TEST

Looks like someone else is having the same problem.

The channel shows on the menu, but the channel itself will not load on screen.

I have checked with a neighbour above that faces the other side and they have no problem getting the channel to view.

That is why i have suggested the fix it assistant to send a update to the card ( not the box as i suggested before )

Would the fitting of a 6db forward path attenuator have anything to do with this you think? the engineer this morning thought to fit a newer style attenuator.

It would seem that the problem with Dave on channel 128 is back working normally again, there is a report by someone else that they have the same problem, so perhaps there was a genuine fault that has been fixed for some.
