In what order should I unplug/plug back in, the modem & router? |
Re: Can't connect to modem
Try another browser such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera or even Safari and if you get the same result try connecting direct to the modem, remember to reboot the modem if you do so.
To access your your modem configs just click http://192.168.100.1/CmOpConfig.asp or if that does not work click http://192.168.100.1/ |
Re: Can't connect to modem
doesnt matter really just leave it out for about 10 secs plug back in,try it see if it works. If that still doesnt work connect via a wired connection if possible. Could be you router and not your Modem. My router was fried a while! felt lost without the internet!!!!!

Re: Can't connect to modem
I have moved it out in the hall with a 10m ethernet cable, before that it wouldnt connect outside the room it was in! Would using a second router not kill the signal? Similar to those range extenders and powerline plugs got the latter and cant get them to work?????:dozey::dozey: If I used a second modem could that work if they were set to the same ip address? Or is that not possible?

You could try homeplugs as they are very effective and will take your connection down through the house using the ring main. |
