Slow internet after router disconnected
Got a computer with a dlink wireless g network card installed and its connected to a belkin wireless n router which is downstairs, about 15 meters apart and set to channel 6. So i get crappy speeds, usually 56kbs upto 256kbs, sometimes luckily it goes over 256kbs, but usually the speed is 256kbs, and i also frequently get disconnected, like 2-3 times a day.
So 5 days ago, i was amazed at my speed, i got 1.3mbs and could download a 100mb file in 1 and half a minute. But suddenly 3 days, the router got unplugged because i bought a new dvd player and was sorting that out. So ever since im back to my old crappy speed which is 56kbs - 256kbs. i also get disconnected 2-3 times as usual, sometimes it wont download my files:mad: Dont know why this had to happen, i just unpluged my router and all of sudden my internet gets slow, how dumb is that? im sure the router didnt reset but i dont know what to do. i want 1.3mb back:rolleyes: |

Someone else is on your channel. Download Xirrus Wifi Inspector for free, see who it is and move channel.
