Subtitles on Virgin Media VOD Service
 

For a long time there has not been any subtitles on VOD services......do anyone know if there is anything in the pipeline for improvement?

There was a thread about this in another forum. What I learnt from it is that VM are working on it and it is supposed to be coming soon. They have been saying that for a while though. Somebody also said that under new eu regulations they had to provide subtitles. That may not be true though. Apparently no on demand service currently has subtitles. That was before Sky started their Anytime + roll out. Does anybody know if that has subtitles?

There are technical problems with doing subtitles in VOD, but VM and the BBC are working on it.

When you say VM and BBC are working on it....do you mean only subtitles with bbc iplayer on virgin?....I would like to see if it would cover a lot more than that?!

I think it will be BBC content first, then the commercial programming from what I can gather.
