BBC video clips
I've not been able to view these for some time in FF 3 and 4.
Now I can't view them in IE 8. What's going on?Why is my PC having this problem?Has anyone else got this issue? |
Re: BBC video clips
Can't view them how? You get an error when trying to play, or just a blank where it should be, or ..?
Do we get a screenshot to illustrate? What extensions in FF? |

It's intermittent in IE but happens all the time in FF.I do have the latest version of Shockwave Flash.
It's only happened in the last 2 months. |

Re: BBC video clips
iPlayer is working OK as is 5 on Demand and 4 on demand working in IE.FF is not supported by 4 or 5.
It's the imbedded web videos that aren't working in FF and only those from the BBC website.all other web based imbedded videos including YouTube are working fine. |
Re: BBC video clips
How about other media from BBC, eg can you stream radio?
Can you try Chrome? Have you tried clearing cache/cookies? Maybe create another user account on your PC so that you have a fresh Firefox profile? |

I'm just having trouble with imbedded video news clips that did work fine at one point. I'm not interested in investing in yet another browser especially as it's ONLY the BBC I'm having trouble with.I just thought it was an odd situation. |
Re: BBC video clips
I get the same thing on the computers as work, but YouTube video works fine. I put it down to the works proxy as it blocks some things.

Re: BBC video clips
Not much help probably but all video content on BBC website works for me in the latest FF browser.
Maybe you might want to fly an e-mail off to the BBC to see if they can shed any light on what causes that particular message to display. That might help you diagnose the problem. John |

Also is java enabled. And I think you may need active X enabled. I can watch video's from everywhere except movie trailers from http://uk.imdb.com/ . :( I have tried everything I can think of to no avail. :dozey: |
