Just connected up the remaining 180M of CAT6a on my reel and it says its capable of 100mbps!? Why would this be? Would it be stable or would it have LOTS of errors?

100 is a guarantee, anything over is possible but not for certain

You sure it wasn't 180ft (55m) which would be right for 10Gbase-t?

Nope, it is definitely 180M.

It purely depends on the equipement at both ends and also the cable run itself..

Poor quality equipment at either end and also running the cable along electricity cables/past microwaves/etc.. won;t help the signal much ;)

100M is the guaranteed distance if industry standards are observed, however you may get a lot more/less depending on the above
