Re: restore

Doesn't restore in what way - selecting a restore point gives an error? If there is an error what is it?
What are you hoping to recover from in using a restore point?

Re: restore

had a problem after installing webcam software, when shutting down blue screen saying errors uninstall programs recently installed, which i have done. was hoping to go back to a good point on computer using restore to an early date/restore point which is not happening goes through the process restarts but does not go to good point no changes made to your computer is the message.

Re: restore

That means the available restore points don't contain any registry / driver changes to back out. When you say 'webcam software', did it include drivers for the device or was it just software to share the pictures?
If the restore isn't working and you are still getting blue screens, you could try the cccleaner tool.

Re: restore

Yes included drivers with software, when i go to system restore it shows a number of dates to restore from goes through the process of closin and rebooting but does not restore to a selrcted good restore date., over come blue screen by uninstalling webcam software/drivers but would like to restore to a previous good restore date which is not happening.
