HP 2010i monitor and Xbox 360 problems :-(

I have my Xbox360 connected to my new HP 2010i monitor via a VGA cable but no matter what resolution I select the games look awful. 'Jaggies' everywhere and a less than sharp image.

Can anyone offer any advice?

Have you tried hooking it up to a different monitor to rule out the new one, or via the DVI cable to see if that makes any difference.

I dont have any experience using monitors but it might be worth a punt trying the above

Xbox 360s (the originals anyway) don't have a DVI output.
