Itv1 + itv1-hd
 

Just after 6pm one day last week I was flicking through the mini guide and on ITV1 it was showing the local news channel (Calendar) which is correct for my area/region as I'm from Doncaster, S/Yorks. Flicking through a bit further I reached the ITV1-HD listing and it said Granadas local news was showing, and it was!
Anyone got any ideas how/why this is happening? :confused:

i think it becuse teh hd only has a ew regional varations compared ot teh sd someone else can correct me if am wrong else i have no idea why

ITV only broadcast 4 regional versions of ITV1HD. You are getting the North Feed which is Granada. If you want the local news for your specific area then you need to tune to 103. The regional news isn't in HD anyway. HTH.

I guess it doesn't say it anymore but when you used to be on that channel and it was not your regional news it would say change to channel 103 to see your local news.
I think we in Nottingham used to get London.

I had the Granada programme on last night for the whole duration and the only thing that flashed up was the TV Tip - you are watching a HD channel in SD etc...So like you said they must have removed the change to channel 103 info box. Anyway thanks trickytree now I know I'm not the only one out there who it's happened to.
