new Vhd box - sound query?
Hi folks, after reading through a few posts i learnt that when i upgraded to VIP20 months ago i should have got a vhd box as an extra box. eventually i got on to retentions and got everything sorted for just £20 installation charge (this was after i had been on to the normal 150 number and had been quoted £49 install and £15 per month for hd box instead on £5.50 for a standard box)
right here's my question (well 2 questions actually): 1. can i turn the volume of the HD box up? on my old standard box you had the option in settings to set the volume independant of the tv volume. i don't see the option on the settings for the new box. the volume is a bit low and i have to turn the tv up far more that i did with the old box. 2. my old box was connected via a scart lead and when i turned the tv it automatically recognised the cable box. my new hd box is connected via HDMI but when i turn the tv on now i have to manually select the av source on the tv remote. ( i noticed that there was an option on the old box to automatically detect scart but there doesn't seem to be this option for HDMI phew!! that my first post over, hopefully someone will know what the h**l i'm on about. |
Re: new Vhd box - sound query?

Re: new Vhd box - sound query?
You can only change the volume of the V-HD box if you are using the SCART output. The volume control doesn't affect the digital outputs (HDMI and optical).
Similarly auto-detect is only available on SCART. Some TVs can detect an HDMI signal, but it isn't standard in the way that SCART switching is. ps, Welcome to the forum! |
