I wish that there was an option to turn it off... I have on ein a bedroom and it lights the whole room up!

There should be an option like (Disable clock in Standby) or something like that!!

Any chance of that??

Might try some kind of tinting film... DOn't really want the gunge of insulating tape over it!

It's the mode that stops the hard drive from rattling away all night. Apart from at 17 minutes past the hour when it feels the need to spin up for a minute or so.

Bizarrely I've noticed when the box puts itself into 'energy saving mode' whilst watching TV the drive doesn't spin up at all and is nice and quiet...

I do know that hence the smiley but thanks anyway, my box is never in standby just like the boxes in work, never seen any reason to put it in standby.:)
