Cant get sound with Samsung V+ Box and Bose Lifestyle Surround Sound!

Hello
I connected a few weeks ago to Virgin - the guy who set me up didn't check the sound worked so I am still without sound! Basically with my previous Sky HD Box it had red and white audio cables to connect to the Bose lifestyle system. The Samsung V+ box doesn't. When i called up, someone said it should still work. Next person said buy an optical cable - which i did but still no sound. Engineer came yesterday for an hour, replaced the box incase faulty - and still no resolution! Also tried scart lead for the sound with no luck. He is going to keep trying but anyone got an idea? He set me up for sound through the TV but cant use surround sound system I used to use instead of TV sound which is disaster! One person said I should downgrade to an old style box - but engineer said prob not recommended as new one much faster etc!
Many thanks
Ross

U can get a scart lead with two phonos on it and attatch it to the VCR socket. The engineer is not required to set up your amp, that's the customers responsibility.

It's not something you get training for, it's just if the tech knows about amps he can help, good luck

If your amp has an optical input then that should work for the sound. I have my amp connected in that way.
