Electronic Cigarettes

I was wondering if anyone else on these boards smokes electronic cigarettes? I bought a Zenith Starter Pack about 7 months ago and just started getting back into it, so far its been 10 days since I smoked tobacco (used to smoke Cutters Choice) my lungs feel amazing and food tastes great.

Its really helped me quit, I just hope I can stick with it

Im going to order one of these tomorrow http://is.gd/ft7I5 Titan 510 which is £25 and is supposed to be the best one on the market currently.

Pretty comprehensive video review for anyone thats never seen an e-cig in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O2Qcyh7zdDA

No never heard of them but they. How many in a pack and how long do they last for. Is it £25 pound for one or the pack?

Its usually one device with multiple filters.. The filters are the new chemical you inhale similar to nicotine or maybe even nicotine I'm not 100%

But once you pay for the original device you just pay for the chemical bottles everytime you need new ones.

from the deal above

# 1 x Manual Battery < Pretty obvious
# 1 x Atomizer < The device
# 1 x USB Charger
# 1 x 10ml Bottle of 18mg Tobacco or Menthol E.Liquid < The chemical
# 3 x 510 Re-Fillable Cartridges. ^^^

1 x USB Charger
1 x 10ml Bottle of 18mg Tobacco or Menthol E.Liquid
3 x 510 Re-Fillable Cartridges.

The batteries last ages, the atomizers can last ages but really depend on your usage, I get a month or so out of mine, you put about 4 drops of the liquid in the cartridges so I got a new 10ml bottle on Monday and their is still about 90% left and Ive been smoking it like crazy.

You can just put the liquid in the filters, if you switch to the e-cig there is no question its cheaper than smoking tobacco.

defirish id highly recommend giving it a go, even if you cant quit with the e-cig the worst you'll be left with is a device you can smoke in pubs and clubs and at the cinema, its perfectly legal :D Its also nice with it coming up to winter that I can smoke in the house, the smoke is just water vapor so doesn't smell of anything at all.

Yeah they have nicotine in them, the chemical mix is Glycerol, flavoring and nicotine im currently 'vaping' a 1.8% nicotine mix, the highest ive seen is 4%

Ill be honest with you the taste isn't exactly like tabacco, they do lots of flavors Ive had more luck smoking a mint one, also the smoke doesn't feel exactly like a real cigarette you get a nice throat hit which is the nicotine but its not as harsh as a real cigarette.

Im currently smoking a mix called British Bulldog which tastes similar to real tabacco but has a bit of a cameral taste, I've watched a few reviews on youtube and most people that switch to e-cigs seem to acquire a taste for them after a while.

Obviously the taste is completely subjective so what tastes a bit cameral for me might hit the spot for you or just taste disgusting, there a loads of companies making the mix now so even if you dont like one you're bound to find one that is more to your liking.

Having said all that I was at my friends house last night he and his 5 housemates all smoke heavily and were all smoking around me (last time when I tried to quit cold turkey this was when I relapsed), we had all the windows closed because it was cold and I was perfectly fine smoking my e-cig.

You can also get an electronic pipe as well if thats more your style :devsmoke:

No my hubby is the pipe smoker. :D I will have to see what suits. Does it help you eventually get you of the fags and of the electronic one as I want to give up completely when I do decide to give up if you know what I mean. I dont want to end up dependent on anything but that would help at the start.

I actually rather enjoy smoking my e-cig but I suppose the best way to get yourself off if you decide going down the e-cig route is just to slowly lower your nicotine levels eventually you really will just be smoking flavored water. Well as its glycerol you'll basically just be smoking cake icing.

Oh right. That sound interesting and way more healthier as well. I have to give this some serious thought. I was aiming for a smoke free January but with this device I may do it sooner. I'm just smoking now for the sake of smoking and dont even enjoy it and at night when I go to bed I really do feel the affects of it

Re: Electronic Cigarettes

Ive used these before and I cant say they didnt work because they did but I didnt want to quit smoking at the time, I just wanted to see what these were like. Ive only smoked since the age of 15 so its been 5 years and is still early days yet so I'm not feeling the major effects of smoking just yet.

I first came accross these in a shopping centre, they were offering trial smokes of these devices to passers by. I will give them praise as it was indeed similar to the real thing.

But just keep an eye out around high streets and shopping centre's for these things because they often have them out on trial.

I may very well give up before January with this device. Im strongly thinking about getting it. I actually feel sick now when I look in the ashtrays and sick of the taste of them in my mouth as well but yet I'm still addicted to them for some. :(

How many years have you been a smoker for?

I'd try this, but my tobacco's cheap enough anyway :)

Juo 26-09-2010 18:49

Re: Electronic Cigarettes

Just 5 years, I say just because I know the longer you've smoked the harder it gets.
