New socket connecting router

Hi all

I now have a new socket in my house and would like to conenct another wirless router to it which will give me two wireless router in the house (one at either end)

Is it just a case of plugging the new router in the new socket ! or are there any setting on the PC which need to be changed.

I am correct in thinking this type of set up will work ?

Would appreciate any help or comments

Thanks

Regards

Mike

Two routers will not work, you need to remove the routing capability of the 2nd one and use it purely as a WAP (Wireless Access point) using one of the LAN and not WAN ports to do that

Depends on the router if you can do this or not

Hi Mike, do you have a copy of the DIR-615 manual?

Section 2 has a chapter about connecting to another router. This is what you need and will give you instructions on how to set it up manually.
